We would like to invite you to the 5th Conference of Epidemiological Longitudinal Studies in Europe (CELSE 2010) scheduled to be held from 13th to 15th October 2010 in Paphos, Cyprus.
CELSE is one of few conferences with an exclusive focus on longitudinal research which has been attracting top scientists using longitudinal epidemiological methods worldwide. To date it has been organised biannually four times with great success in Northern European countries (Finland twice, U.K., and Norway).
A decision was made to organise the forthcoming conference in a more southern part of Europe so the next conference is scheduled to be held at a 5* resort with outstanding conference, accommodation and leisure facilities in Cyprus.
This biennial conference offers a unique forum for researchers who employ longitudinal methods to study aspects of human health and behaviour. Themes presented usually cover aspects of medical, psychological, educational and social research such as: obesity, nutrition, mental health, child/adolescent developmental psychology, socio-economic outcomes, educational outcomes, environmental outcomes, physiology, biology, genetics, dentistry, as well as other topics covering various periods of the lifecourse.
This conference provides an excellent opportunity for both learning the latest research advances and for networking on a wide variety of issues related to longitudinal research. Participants will have a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and build collaborative ties with other longitudinal methods researchers and also with researchers in other disciplines. CELSE2010 has already confirmed the attendance of some of the world's top scientists using longitudinal methods from various disciplines who will deliver keynote speeches, including a Nobel Laureate - Professor James Heckman.
We look forward to welcoming you in Paphos in 2010!
On behalf of the organising committee,
Demetris Pillas
CELSE2010 Chair
